Who is allowed at meetings?

Registered girls and adults (with a CBC). Why should you be a registered adult? Girl Scouts requires 2 unrelated adults to be at each meeting. If one of the troop leaders cannot make it, another adult can step in so that the meeting is not canceled for the entire troop.

When going on field trips the adult/girl ratio is smaller and therefore more adults are required. If we do not have the correct number of adults, these would be unable to happen as well.

Attendance:

Punctuality is important. Waiting on others throws the meetings off balance and we end up with less time for activities. If a meeting is missed, requirements can be made up at home. If a girl misses part of badge requirements, they do NOT automatically earn the badge. If your girl is sick, please do not bring her to the meeting.

Drop Off and Pick Up:

If someone other than the parent/guardian is to pick up or drop off to meetings or outings, the troop leader must be made aware of this, and the adult must be listed on the girls meeting/outing permission form.

Late Pickup:

Please pick up your girl on time! Please let troop leaders know if you will be late, things happen, but please do not make it a habit! Remember we are volunteers.

Troop Communication:

We communicate on the GroupMe app, text messages, and the website.

Snacks:

Girls are welcome to bring snacks to share.

Troop Dues:

None

Supplies:

Girls will need their water bottle and all meetings and events.

Activities Payment Policy:

It is our troop policy that any activities that the girls are signed up for and cost money, that are skipped, the parents must reimburse the troop for the total cost before the girl can be signed up for any subsequent activities.

Social Media:

Please do not post negative comments about the organization, council, or troop on social media. If you have any problems, please come to me so we can discuss.

Financial Assistance:

Financial assistance is available for those in need for registration fees and uniform components. Let me know if you need a form for this.
